Overcome's mission is empowering young adults who have aged out of foster care or reached the maximum age in Job Corps, equipping them with the resources and guidance necessary to thrive as self-sufficient, responsible members of society. We work to bridge the critical gaps in their transition to adulthood by providing needed support and services, essential life skills, and the tools needed to foster personal growth, resilience, and long-term success.
Our ultimate goal is to collaborate with individuals and organizations that share our vision and values, committed to uplifting young adults as they transition into independence. We aim to partner with organizations such as Mentor Greater Milwaukee, Secure Futures, EMPLOY Milwaukee, and Black Space, as well as others providing critical services like job readiness, education, financial literacy, coping strategies, and trauma-informed therapy. In addition to these services, in the long term, we aspire to ensure access to affordable workforce housing, recognizing that stable housing is a fundamental pillar in supporting young adults as they build successful, self-sustaining lives within the working population.
We are busy growing our collaboratives. Come back again to learn more about upcoming opportunities.
